Banner printing up to 3.2 m wide without a joint
Most banner orders we receive from the UK, Ireland, the Nordics and Benelux fall into three groups: promotional banners for a single season, construction and fence banners that have to survive two or three winters, and trade orders from sign makers and agencies who need volume at short notice. All three go through the same roll-to-roll UV printers, which take material up to 3.2 m wide. A banner 3 m tall can therefore be printed as one piece, with no welded seam running through the image. Wider formats are joined with a welded seam, charged at approx. €3 net per linear metre.
UV inks cure as they are printed, with no drying time and no solvent smell, so banners can be finished and packed on the day of printing.
PVC banners and other banner materials we print
We keep the following banner materials in stock, so there is no wait for a special-order roll on standard jobs:
- Laminated PVC 510 g – the economy option for seasonal promotions and election campaigns, suitable for up to about 12 months outdoors.
- Strong PVC 440 g – lighter, with a dense 1000 × 1000 scrim; good value where weight matters, for example in frames.
- Coated PVC 510 g – our standard recommendation for two to three years outdoors and for designs with large areas of solid colour.
- Black-back PVC 550 g – limits light showing through, which keeps fence banners readable when the sun is behind them.
- Blockout 550 g and 650 g – an opaque interlayer allows full-colour printing on both sides with two different designs.
- Backlit 510 g – for illuminated frames and large light boxes, printed with colour correction for back lighting.
- Mesh 270 g and reinforced mesh 370 g – perforated material for scaffolding and façades; see our page on scaffold and mesh banners.

PVC banner with eyelets, pockets or webbing: finishing options
The standard finish suits most fences, walls and frames. Where the fixing method or the wind load is different, we add:
- eyelets every 25 cm for exposed sites or tensioned frames – approx. €1 net per linear metre;
- reinforced eyelets (patch plus eyelet) for large façade banners – approx. €2/lm;
- pole pockets 8–12 cm – approx. €3/lm, or a pocket with rope already inserted – approx. €4/lm;
- perimeter webbing tape, which we recommend above 20 m² – approx. €4/lm.
Tell us how the banner will be fixed – cable ties to a fence, bungees into a frame, rope on scaffolding, a pole at the top and bottom – and we will specify the finish rather than leave you to guess.

Mesh banner vs vinyl banner
A solid PVC banner gives the strongest colour and is the right choice on walls, fences at ground level and anywhere seen from close by. A mesh banner is perforated: it lets air through, reduces wind load by roughly 40 % and is the usual specification for scaffolding and high façades. The trade-off is that the image is slightly less dense from close range, which disappears at a viewing distance of a few metres. For fences with gaps, black-back PVC is often a better answer than mesh because it keeps colours strong without letting the light show through.
Artwork and a quick PVC banner size guide
Send a PDF at final size or to scale, with fonts outlined and bleed added. The resolution a banner needs depends on how far away people will read it, and a large banner seen from across a street needs far less than a poster in a shop. Every file is checked technically before production at no charge. If something needs changing, our studio can adapt a layout to another format for approx. €13 net or design a simple banner for approx. €42 net, including two rounds of corrections.
For colour-critical work we print an A3 sample on the actual material for approx. €13 net; on orders above 20 m² that cost is refunded. Details are on our file preparation and preflight page.
Lead times and delivery to the UK, Ireland and the EU
Standard production takes approx. 3 working days. A 24-hour express service is available for approx. 40 % on top of the print price, provided files are approved by 12:00. Large projects may need up to about 14 days plus transport. The most useful thing you can give us is your deadline: we plan production backwards from the date the banners have to be on site.
Banners are rolled on a core or packed in a tube (approx. €5 net per package), never folded, and larger quantities go on a wrapped pallet (approx. €19 net). We ship by courier, by dedicated courier for urgent loads, or with our own vehicles that run across Europe. For UK deliveries we handle the export paperwork with our forwarders – ask us about delivery terms. More on delivery and installation across Europe. Our head office and main production plant are in Wieluń, Poland.
