SEG Frames and Fabric Light Boxes – Wholesale Frames and SEG Fabric Printing

What SEG is and why retailers and exhibitors use it

SEG stands for silicone edge graphic: a printed fabric with a thin, flexible silicone strip sewn around its edge. The strip is pushed into a groove in an aluminium frame, which pulls the fabric tight and flat. There are no visible fixings, the graphic folds small for shipping, and it can be changed without tools.

That makes SEG frames the standard for retail walls that change with each campaign, shop-in-shop displays, trade show stands and office branding. A backlit version, the fabric light box, adds LEDs inside a deeper profile and uses a light-diffusing backlit fabric.

Frame types we produce

  • Wall-mounted SEG frames, single-sided, in custom sizes for retail walls, offices and showrooms
  • Free-standing modules 100 × 230 cm that link into walls of any length, for stands and shop-in-shop
  • LED fabric light boxes, in an aluminium profile frame, with the graphic changeable without taking the box down
  • Ultra-slim LED frames 12–25 mm thick for indoor retail, from A1 up to 100 × 200 cm

For rigid acrylic-faced boxes and outdoor signs, see our light box manufacturer page.

SEG fabric printing: UV or dye-sublimation

We print SEG fabric with two technologies, and the choice depends on use, not on price alone.

  • LED UV print directly on fabric, with an ink set made for textiles. Faster and cheaper, with no reflections, good for campaign graphics that change every few weeks.
  • Dye-sublimation, where the dye enters the fibre. A very soft hand, deep colour under backlight, and no cracking when the fabric is folded many times. Better for long-term displays and premium fabric light boxes.

Every SEG graphic is finished in our sewing room: silicone edge sewn on, corners checked against the frame size, then folded or rolled for transport. Already have frames from another supplier? Send us the internal groove dimensions and we print graphics only. If a graphic is damaged, we reprint it to the same size from your file.

Ordering, lead times and delivery

Send the frame dimensions or tell us the system, along with print files with bleed. Our studio checks every file and can adapt one key visual to all frame sizes from approx. €13 net per size.

Standard production is about 3 working days, express 24 h for about 40% extra, and large retail programmes up to about 14 days plus transport. Graphics are light, so they travel by courier to the UK, Ireland and anywhere in Europe; frames and light boxes go by our own vans or on pallets. For a retail chain changing graphics in many stores, we pack one set per store; see retail signage rollout and POS displays. For the UK we handle export paperwork with our forwarders; ask us about delivery terms.

For agencies, resellers and stand builders

SEG is a typical wholesale product: you sell the frame and the recurring graphics, we produce both. We dispatch in neutral packaging with no logo of ours and sign a confidentiality agreement on request; see white label printing. For trade show use, see exhibition graphics printing. Our plant in Wieluń, Poland, has produced display and print since 1991.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

What is SEG fabric?

SEG means silicone edge graphic: a printed polyester fabric with a silicone strip sewn around the edge, which slots into a groove in an aluminium frame and holds the fabric tight.

What sizes do SEG frames come in?

We make frames to custom sizes. A popular free-standing module is 100 × 230 cm, and modules link into longer walls. Ultra-slim LED frames run from A1 up to 100 × 200 cm.

Can you print graphics for SEG frames we already own?

Yes. Give us the groove-to-groove dimensions or a sample, and we print and sew graphics to fit.

UV print or dye-sublimation for SEG?

UV print is quicker and cheaper for short campaigns. Dye-sublimation gives a softer fabric and deeper backlit colour, and survives repeated folding better.

How are fabric graphics shipped?

Folded or rolled in a box or tube, usually by courier. They are light, so shipping SEG graphics across Europe or to the UK costs much less than shipping rigid panels.

Is fire-rated fabric available?

On request we check the availability of fabric with the fire certificate your venue or client requires.
